FISIP Universitas Riau once again held a socialization event with the Independent Accreditation Institute for Social, Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (LAMSPAK)

The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Riau University once again held a socialization event with the Independent Accreditation Institute for Social, Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (LAMSPAK) on Monday, April 29, 2024. The resource person at this event was Dr. Muhammad Sulhan, S.IP., M.Si, who conveyed several things related to the accreditation of study programs at FISIP, Riau University. Also attending this event were the Dean of FISIP, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Auradian Marta, S.IP., M.A, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mayarni, S.Sos., M.Si, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, Dr. Saiman Pakpahan, S.IP., M.Si, Head of Department and Head of Study Program, Coordinator of Administration, Susi Heptariani Z, SE.Ak., M.Ak., and lecturers in the FISIP Universitas Riau environment.

In his speech, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si as the Dean of FISIP said that this socialization event is one manifestation of FISIP's commitment to continue to improve the quality of education provided. In the current era of globalization, the quality of education is very important to increase competitiveness and produce competent human resources.

It is hoped that with this socialization event, the entire academic community of FISIP Universitas Riau can better understand the accreditation system used by LAMSPAK, and can prepare themselves to face it. Accreditation of study programs is something that is very important for the survival of study programs in this increasingly competitive era. Therefore, there needs to be awareness from all parties to continue to make improvements and developments so that the quality of education is always maintained.

Speaker Dr. Muhammad Sulhan, S.IP., M.Sc., conveyed several things related to the LAMSPAK accreditation system, which aims to improve the quality of education at FISIP so that it can compete at the national and international levels.

Several things conveyed include an explanation of the accreditation process carried out by LAMSPAK, the standards used to assess the quality of study programs, accreditation levels, benefits obtained from study program accreditation, and other things related to accreditation.
Based on the explanation given by the resource person, study program accreditation is very important in improving the quality of education, and this is in line with the commitment of FISIP Universitas Riau to continue to produce competent graduates who are ready to compete in the current era of globalization. It is hoped that there will be joint efforts from all parties, both lecturers, students, and academic staff to continue to improve and develop study programs so that the quality of education can continue to increase and achieve the standards that have been set.
