Pekanbaru, February 21, 2025 – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Universitas Riau held its regular monthly healthy walk on the third week of February. This event not only promotes physical fitness but also serves as a means to strengthen the bonds among the academic community. The participants followed a route from the FISIP premises to the new Universitas Riau Rectorate building, enjoying the spirit of togetherness enhanced by the active participation of the FISIP UNRI Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), which provided enthusiastic support.

Following the healthy walk, the event continued at the Sutan Balia Auditorium with a welcoming of the holy month of Ramadan and a handover ceremony for several structural officials at FISIP UNRI. Among those retiring were the Head of the Department of Administrative Science, the Secretary of Administrative Science, the Coordinator of the Public Administration Study Program, and the Coordinator of the FISIP UNRI Laboratory.

In his speech, the Dean of FISIP UNRI, Dr. Meyzi Heriyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the importance of togetherness and gratitude in welcoming this blessed month. He expressed deep appreciation for the officials entering retirement as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication during their tenure. This warm reception was a form of respect and support from the entire FISIP UNRI academic community.

FISIP UNRI not only celebrates significant academic moments but also embraces the spirit of sharing. The FISIP UNRI Dharma Wanita contributed to the event by distributing basic food packages to faculty cleaning staff as an expression of gratitude and solidarity. This act reflects the social awareness and values of togetherness that form the strong foundation of the FISIP UNRI academic community.

The Chairperson of the FISIP UNRI Dharma Wanita Persatuan, Mrs. Delianti Meyzi, stated that this event symbolizes unity and care within the academic environment.
